it through T-Mobile. But it has the T-Mobile OS and that T-Mobile unlock

app Installed. So it doesn't requite me a prompt to enter the unlock code when

I endeavor some other SIM.

If yous didn't buy information technology through Tmobile or the phone from someone who bought information technology from Tmobile

near likely the imei is not in Tmobile'southward information base to unlock.

Tmobile tin merely unlock phones they sell  and have the imei's in the data base.

Haha...I remember he is on correct runway. This phone'southward IMEI has to be added to

the T-mobile database. That's how the device unlock app will go the right

feed from the server to unlock.

I googled and this is how other people with similar problem got information technology

unlocked. They had to go through some technical section who tin do this.

Sir yours is a good question too. T-mobile is in other countries likewise. But I

bought it in U.s.a. and I'm using it in USA.

And the apps installed on the phone are for T-Mobile United states of america. As the other

countries have their ain specific apps.

I'm a trucker. I travel to areas like Montana where Tmobile reception is

not that skillful. So I have another. Secondary sim. My other phone died. Then

this is the only phone I have now.

This is something TMobile has been getting away with for a while if y'all bring an unlocked device to T-Mobile and a software update is released information technology automatically puts the device unlock app on your phone and locks information technology to the network and then you lot can't go it unlocked because if you become to the carrier they tell you to go to the manufacturer you go to the manufacturer they tell you to go to the carrier I had to sell a note 5 because of this issue

I've tried multiple times also. All the same didn't take the message congratulations, your cell telephone has been unlocked.  The Tmobile website had, at least last calendar week, a link for checking the status of unlock your cell phone.  Y'all inputed your IMEI number.  Tried to find it and now its gone.   TMOBILE, WHERE DID Information technology GO????

The whitelist volition not work if this phone was non purchased through T-Mobile. I have been going back and along for five weeks now and I cannot unlock my phone because I bought my phone directly from Samsung equally a t mobile phone. I'1000 at the point of just going online and pay the fifty bucks and get a PIN to unlock this phone. I've never had a problem like this before with other carriers.

T-Mobile keep on telling me to phone call Samsung and Samsung proceed on telling me that they can't do annihilation information technology has to be the carrier which is T-Mobile I even had them on a three way call and I could not do annihilation.

Thats crazy.  From what I am reading on this thread, even if you buy an unlocked phone, tmobile volition upon network software update, lock your previously unlocked phone automatically to their carrier.

That in addition to the incredible difficulties in order to unlock it, (who knows how long it takes wasting time with "regular support" and this forum, until the answer is to keep social media (if you lot take one) in order to contact the Tforce (the real tech support?).

Total garbage.  Really changing my attitude on tmobile.
